Oh yeah it's TGIF and it's time for girls night out with Chandon and High Heels at Twenty One Tables + Terrace, Bangsar Shopping Centre! Of course I will be attending with my sweetie Caroline~ :*
Well the dress code are high heels and flower so both of us are wearing the freaking same 6" high heels and some flowery accessories. Oh my, that's my first time wearing such "high" heels >.< need to be very careful while walking around. You know girls are still girls, willing to do anything just to look nice ;p
The first Chandon wine we tried was Chandon Brut which in pale straw color, apple and pear characteristics, nutty flavors, hint of brioche and refreshing dry finish. It can be paired with salty, creamy or nutty foods and also caesar salad and seafood such as oysters and sushi. We paired it with fresh blueberries~
With Jessie Chong, the assistant brand manager of wines and belvedere. Pretties~
Second, the Chandon Rose which we paired with salmon seaweed and strawberries, oh I like this most~ Chandon Rose is in deep pink color, it's by ripe and juicy strawberry, watermelon and fresh red cherry fruit. It's bold and vibrant with accents of apple and pear. It can be paired with traditional seafood, shellfish, duck and lamb dishes, intensely flavored dishes from Asia and Latin America.
Thirdly was Domaine Chandon Chardonnay 2010 which paired with Crayfish Risotto and Cherries. The wine has a very expressive and complex bouquet of cashew, grapefruit
and nectarine, the palate picking up this lead-in to perfection,
intense and tightly structured, yet nonetheless allowing the fruit to
shine through.
Next up was the Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir 2011 which paired with Mushroom Duck Confit and raspberries. It's a classic and aromatic Pinot Noir. Fragrant notes
of red cherry, raspberry and violet combine with earthy, spicy hints.
The palate opens with subtle red berry notes before building in
complexity to exude a deeper black cherry and mulberry profile. These
fruits are underpinned by intriguing spices and dried herbs reminiscent
of thyme and sage. There is also a hint of chary oak giving the fruit a
smoky complexity. Framed by fine, savoury and seductive tannins, the
wine shows excellent palate extension.
Lastly which is Domaine Chandon Shiraz 2010 and paired with Spice Lamb with Crumbs. Dark cherry fruits lead the way with hints of flint, crushed brown
spice and licorice. Well applied French vanilla oak. I don't like to eat lamb, but this look tasty.
Thanks to Chandon invitation, what a fun Friday night with all the pretties, cheers!
